You can clear your North Dakota record. North Dakota law lets you seal certain arrest records and certain convictions under N.D. Cent. Code Ch. 12-60.1. The process uses a petition filed with the court that handled the case and a court hearing.

North Dakota only seals court records — it does not seal the underlying criminal history records held by other agencies.

North Dakota automatically seals arrest records dated August 1, 2025 or later; arrest records from before that date still require a petition.
