About clearing a record in Wyoming

Wyoming law lets a court expunge some records of an arrest, a charge or its outcome when you were not convicted (Article 14). It also lets a court expunge some misdemeanor and felony convictions (Article 15).

You ask by filing a petition. You file it in the court that had your case. If no case was filed, you file where it would have been. The court may hold a hearing.

You can get a misdemeanor expungement only once, and a felony one only once. One felony petition can cover more than one felony. They must all come from the same event or a related chain of events. For a felony, you must have no other felony guilty plea, no contest plea or conviction.
